NZ Bridges Summit, October 28-29, Auckland
Ancon will exhibit at the forthcoming NZ Bridges Summit, endorsed by the NZ Transport Agency (NZTA), where it will showcase its BT Range of parallel threaded reinforcing bar couplers and anchors, as well as its MBT mechanically bolted couplers.
BT Couplers for mechanically splicing reinforcing bars.
Ancon Anchors for anchoring reinforcing bar, replacing the need for cogged or hooked bar ends.
KSN Anchors for use with BT threaded bars to provide reinforcement continuity at construction joints.
The MBT coupler system is compliant with NZTA Bridge Manual seismicity, slip and brittle fracture requirements and provides tensile strength to 690MPa in 12-25mm bar diameters. The MBT range of couplers provides a cost-effective method of joining reinforcing bars, particularly when the fixed bar is already in place and there is insufficient space for a hydraulic swaging press.
