Look out for Ancon at these Conferences in 2019
Ancon is proud to sponsor two industry conferences in 2019 showcasing an innovative range of structural fixing solutions.
The fifth New Zealand conference hosted by SESOC took place on 19th & 20th August 2019 at the SkyCity Convention Centre, Auckland. Designed for structural engineers and those interested in the built environment, the 2019 theme was 'Challenging the Profession' and brought together professionals from across the industry to share experiences and perspectives on structural engineering.
Ancon was a silver sponsor at the conference and exhibited a range of products for structural concrete construction, including ANCON MBT reinforcing bar couplers and HALFEN anchor channels; weld-free steel connectors from LINDAPTER and a variety of masonry repair and reinforcement systems from HELIFIX.
Stand number 2 gave visitors the opportunity to discuss project requirements with Ancon's sales and technical representatives.
Concrete NZ Conference
The Concrete New Zealand Conference returned for another year, this time travelling south to Dunedin for the first time. The spectacular venue, Dunedin Town Hall, hosted a full techncial programme and a trade exhibition from 10th - 12th October 2019.
The theme for the 2019 conference was Concrete for Life and attracted a wide array of visitors across the construction industry.
As gold sponsor at the conference, Ancon delivered a paper as part of the technical programme and also hosted a stand in the trade exhibition. Stand number 21 offered the opportunity to learn about our reinforcing bar couplers, including the latest addition to the range - the Ancon RT Threaded Coupler. One the smallest in the Ancon range, the RT coupler is best suited to large scale projects requiring a high volume of couplers. Their small size allows them to be used in places where a larger coupling system may not fit, such as at the end of cogged bars in thin panels.
Also under the spotlight was a comprehensive range of HALFEN anchor channels in different load classes and finishes. As exclusive distributor for HALFEN Anchor Channels in New Zealand, Ancon's Design Engineer, Masoud Hashemi, delivered a paper in Session 4A Paper 5 on this subject.
